Hypertrophic Olivary Degeneration

Hypertrophic olivary degeneration  is a trans-synaptic degeneration caused by a lesion in the triangle of Guillain and Mollaret, resulting in hypertrophy of the inferior olivary nucleus.  Here is a video discussing the spotter:
